We sometimes have to undertake a fair amount of preparation of subfloors before installing tiles, especially in older period properties. This kitchen floor required digging out to level it, sealing and then a self-levelling compound applying prior to installing the natural slate floor tiles which were finished off with a natural stone sealer to protect them from marking and staining.
